The Highland home is a two-story house in an older neighborhood with mature trees, in a residential area in St. Paul. This is a traditional DD group home. There is a school across the street, which can create busy traffic at times. Public transportation, library and restaurants nearby. Currently supporting two males, in their 40's, presenting with depression, mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, TBI and Down Syndrome. There is some mild verbal aggression. One individual yells and cries when upset. The individuals here have lived together for more than 15 years. In-home and community act ivies include music, arts/crafts and church. Day program in the area is Merrick. Double staffing, day staffing, asleep overnight staff. Staff share a van and also use their own vehicles. Ideal candidate would be male or female with mild to moderate intellectual disability. 03/2021
