High Island Creek Residence is located in a nice residential neighborhood in the small community of Arlington. It is a 9 bedroom home with plenty of room to spread out. There is a large sensory room, exercise area with a variety of equipment and a beautiful yard with a gazebo. Residents that live in High Island are very involved in the community and activities that are offered, which include cheering on the high school students at their sporting events and local fundraising events. The Sibley County DAC is adjacent to the home from the backyard.

Nursing Support: Weekly Visit

An LPN is on-site 25-30 hours per week and accompanies the residents on all of their appointments. Trained medication aides pass medications to the residents.

Challenging Behaviors: Self Injurious, Verbal Aggression

The Director is open to those individuals with challenging behaviors upon an assessment and with those individuals that are well managed with positive programming and/or medication.
