Residents are at least one year post-injury, TBI or acquired brain injury. Nonverbal, full ADL's. Rancho Scale level 3 only. Must have neurological assessment by Granite House neurologist as part of assessment process. Granite House is a long-term care option for those younger adults who are not likely to emerge to a higher level of consciousness above the Minimally Conscious State. Granite House is a 501c3 nonprofit organization; our mission is to provide support and hope to individuals and families living with severe and permanent brain injury. FT Registered Nurse but not 24 hour nursing. Residents are medically stable, no traches, no vents. One awake person at night, one asleep. Residents do not require two people to change at night or administer cares. Bluestone Physicians Services come once a month. Granite House was built in 2018, purpose built for wheelchair access with places for families to gather, on a beautiful wooded site. We have a roll-in shower, a therapy room, and will have a screened porch soon. We provide on-site services and our residents do not go to day programs.

Residents are nonverbal, no EUMR allowed. Must be able to participate and benefit from programs such as group music therapy, physician-prescribed passive range of motion and programs prescribed by visiting PT and OT, sensory therapy, hydrotherapy, without disrupting or infringing on the rights of other residents.
