This program is licensed for 3, females only. Home is not considered to be handicapped accessible.
The home is a duplex located approximately 2 blocks from Hwy 19 on the western side of Redwood Falls. There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor and 1 apartment style bedroom containing a living room and private bathroom on the lower level. Currently the available bedroom is in the lower level of the home.
Home is walkable distance to Alexander Ramsey Park. Other parks and recreational areas are located close by. The neighborhood is made up mostly of families with all age ranges.

Staffing generally is 1:1 during peak hours with an awake overnight staff on duty. Currently there are 2 females being supported, ages 38 and 43. Both are ambulatory, diagnosed with Mild ID and Borderline Personality Disorder.
There are episodes of verbal and physical aggression, Self-Injurious behavior, and property destruction. Psychotropic medications are dispensed and monitored by trained staff.
Both individuals in the home attend a day training program 5 days per week. Some activities enjoyed by the individuals are: going for walks, shopping, movies, crafts, games, library and playing games. They also participate in People First, Life Skill classes, and Special Olympics.

Community Based Services - MSOCS is a Safety Net Provider. All individuals being referred must meet Safety Net Criteria. It is expected that all individuals being considered for admissions have reviewed and been turned down for alternative supports and/or placement options through private community providers. All individuals being referred must meet Safety Net Criteria.
