Third Street is a single level home with a 2 car attached garage which is located in a quiet neighborhood in Rice County. The back yard is grassy with beautiful lilacs that bloom in the spring. It is located within a mile of the Faribault Nature Center. The backyard has a small deck with a wheelchair ramp that leads to the yard. The home has four bedrooms and two wheelchair accessible bathrooms. One features a shower, the other a whirlpool lift tub. The home has open floor concept dining/living/kitchen. The four bedrooms are all off the main part of the home. There is an office between the bedrooms. The laundry room leads off the garage. There is a wheelchair ramp into the garage.

There are two females and a male currently in the home. The age range is 36 - 79. All the individuals use tilt in space wheelchairs. All of the individuals in the home are diagnosed with an intellectual disability ranging from severe to profound. Several of the individuals utilize feeding tubes/pumps and catheters. They also require the use of a handicap accessible van. They utilize a hoyer lift for all transfers. The current individuals are medically fragile and can become sick quite quickly. The home is staffed with nearly all LPN's. The home is staffed with an awake overnight LPN The home does administer psychotropic medications and does have some behavioral concerns. Some of the individuals have histories of physical aggression. There are varying degrees of verbalization. One utilizes a dynavox for communication.
